The Smokies are definitely a spiritual place. I was born there and spent 18 years of my life in Haywood County. I couldn’t wait to be “of age” to leave and get to Atlanta. Now, I can’t wait to get back. I am in awe each time I drive back and can’t wait to see the first glimpse of the mountains. Do you ever photograph Balsam or Cowee Mtn. or anywhere in that locale?

Thanks, Mary. I agree that being in the Smokies is a spiritual experience. I try to always be aware of that when I’m roaming around the Park.
